Southwest Swap Meet
P.O. Box 382163, Duncanville, TX 75138 US
Our 52nd Swap Meet - Operating Continuously Since 1968 !
In 2018 we moved to
TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
An overwhelming majority of our vendors hailed the move as a great decision!
THE NEXT SWAP MEET IS
SEPTEMBER 13 - 15, 2019
( With setup on Thursday September 12 )
Established in 1968, we are the oldest, continuously run swap meet in Texas dedicated to the old car hobby. We started in Irving and moved to the Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington in 1977, to Decatur in 2011 and now to Texas Motor Speedway in 2018.
Texas Motor Speedway is located at the intersection of Texas Hwy 114 and I-35W. For directions click here. The Swap Meet is held in the TMS parking lots west of the Speedway. For those familiar with the Pate Swap Meet at this location, we are initially using their zones 2 and 2A. The Car Corral is across Lone Star Circle from these zones. The layout and numbering of the spaces is the same as used by Pate. Our sincere thanks to Pate Swap Meet for their significant cooperation as we move to TMS.
There are several hotels and motels within a short distance. For motels offering swap meet discounted rates click here.
VENDOR SPACES & REGISTRATION
The pre-registration price per space is $35 thru July 31st and $40 thereafter and at the gate. Spaces are approximately 9' x 18' and we don't charge extra for corner spaces. We also offer the 25' x 100' big vendor spaces in Zone 2. There are no covered or inside spaces and what trees there are don't offer much shade. For maps of the swap meet click on the link "MAPS" at the top of this page. For a pre-registration form click here. There are several food vendors on site (see "FOOD" below). For a complete listing of our operating rules click here.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Public admission to the swap meet itself is free. For parking see below. For vendors we provide a venue for the sale or trade of old cars, old car parts and automobile related items, including antique and classic cars, special interest cars, street rods etc. We advertise heavily in hobby journals and magazines and also in local and surrounding area newspapers. Security guards are on duty 24 hours a day from Thursday through Sunday afternoon.
NOTE: Everyone must be clear of the swap meet grounds by 3:00 PM Sunday.
PARKING and CAMPING
TMS provides public parking immediately adjacent the swap meet grounds for a small fee each day. There is a camping area. The fee is $20 for the weekend (payable to TMS) and free showers are available. Camping in your paid swap meet space is also allowed.
TMS provides a variety of food concessions located within the swap meet area. Sale of food and drink items by other than TMS concessionaires is strictly prohibited.
WHO ARE WE?
We are Dallas/Fort Worth area antique car enthusiasts, motivated to keep our old cars running (and to further the hobby in general) by creating a forum where old cars and parts are made available for sale or trade. This is the only swap meet held at this location that is sponsored by the Southwest Swap Meet LLC which is a partnership of 3 antique car hobby clubs: Antique Automobile Club of America (Texas Region), Dallas Model A Ford Club of America, and the Horseless Carriage Club of America (North Texas Regional Group). For more information on these clubs click here.
Please note that the Southwest Swap Meet LC, is not associated with the Pate Swap Meet held in late April at this same location, but we hope they attend our meet as we attend theirs.
Telephone: (469) 463-6277
(Note that from Thursday to Sunday of the Swap Meet this phone and email are not monitored - we are at the meet! There is an information message on the phone.)
