Southwest Swap Meet

Southwest Swap Meet Information and Operating Rules

​To avoid misunderstandings and other confusion, we adopted (most) of the Pate Swap Meet Regulations. Our operating hours are different.

Vendor Access Hours
Thursday: 
Pre-registered vendors will be admitted for set-up at Noon.
Friday & Saturday: 
Vendor entrance is open from 7 am to 10 am,  and  after    5 pm to 6 pm. Vendors arriving after 10am will be escorted to their spaces from the Vendor Entrance Gate.  Please arrive before 10 am to avoid confusion and delays.
Sunday: 
Vendor entrance is open from 7 am. Must be clear of the premises by 3 pm

Registration Office Hours
The Swap Meet Registration Office is open from Noon to 6pm on Thursday, 7am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and 8am to 3pm on Sunday. 
Public Access Hours
Friday & Saturday:  Public entrances open from 8 am to 6 pm.
Sunday:  Public entrances open from 8 am to 3 pm.
Security
Security will be provided in the Swap Meet area from Noon Thursday until 2pm Sunday.  Problems, lost persons and injuries should be reported to Headquarters or Security officers at Gates 3 and 4.

 Please read the following rules & information.

  •    Acceptance of a space constitutes your agreement to abide by our rules
  •    Electric handicap scooters and personal portable restrooms are available for rent.  For more info click here.
  •    The vendor entrance is on the North side of Texas Motor Speedway as shown on the attached Access Map.
  •    A windshield vendor sticker must be attached on the inside of the windshield on the driver’s side to enter the Swap Meet.
  •    No parking is available inside the swap meet.  Vendor vehicles & trailers must be parked in numbered spaces with a vendor sticker attached to the windshield.
  •    Five (5) mph speed limit will be enforced when driving inside the Swap Meet area.
  •    All vehicle operators must have a valid driver’s license. 
  •    Any vehicle not in the space indicated on the vendor tag attached to windshield, will be subject to towing at the owners expense.
  • Vendor parking for vehicles and trailers will be available North of the      Swap Meet / Car Corral area.
  •    NO cruising or shopping from vehicles is permitted.  Only handicap scooters, parts haulers and swap meet official vehicle traffic is allowed between 10am and 5pm. No ATV’s, electric or gas golf carts, mini-bikes, private motorized carts, lawn tractors/mowers, bicycles, motorbikes, motorcycles or other motorized vehicles are permitted.
  •    All items must be inside the marked spaces. Trailers must have a 1’ x 1’ x ¾” plywood plate under landing gear to protect the asphalt parking lot. You are responsible to remove all items before leaving.
  •    This meet is dedicated to the car hobby, 80% of your items must be transportation related.  No wear-ables, sunglasses, jewelry, souvenirs or like products can be the primary business of a vendor, without authorization of the Texas Motor Speedway Merchandizing Department (817/215-8560).  No food or beverages sales are permitted.  Company logos are permitted for your own products.
  •    Pets must be on a leash at all times, no longer than 6’ in length.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
  •    No open fires allowed.  Camping on your space is permitted.
  •    No selling or parking is permitted on the grass in Pit Stop Park.
  •    No sale, display or exhibition of firearms is permitted on Texas Motor Speedway property.
  •    The address for the Texas Motor Speedway is 3545 Lone Star Cir, Fort Worth, TX, at the intersection of I-35W and TX 114, North of Fort Worth.

Vendor Vehicle Parking

If you rented a space for your vehicle, you are to take it there and leave it there.
Parking on streets inside the Swap Meet Area is permitted for unloading and loading only.  After unloading, if your vehicles are not in a rented space, they must be parked in the designated Vendor/Trailer parking area North of the Swap Meet area.  RV’s may be parked on your spaces.  Outside RV parking is available in designated public parking for $20 for the weekend, no hook-ups provided.  Texas Motor Speedway public showers are available South of the Swap Meet area.

Free Parts Hauling Service
Free parts hauling service inside the Swap Meet area for parts too heavy to carry, is available from your space to the Public Entrance at Gate 5, during open-to-Public hours.  Parts Hauling service must be requested at Gates 3 or 4.  Only one rider is permitted.
Handicapped Access
We want disabled persons to enjoy our meet.  Approved electric handicap scooters are welcome in the Swap Meet area.  Electric handicap scooters that may be utilized in the Swap Meet Area are:  three or four wheeled units authorized by the federal government for access to public buildings. Use of handicap scooters is limited to the authorized person plus a driver if needed, i.e. no riders please.
Quiet Hours and Generators
To prevent noise during the sleeping hours, no vehicle traffic is permitted between 10pm and 6am.   Generators causing excessive noise and fumes are prohibited.  From 7am to 10pm, generators must not exceed 70 dba.  After 10pm generators must not exceed 45dba.
Staking of Tents or Canopies
No stakes shall be driven into the asphalt surface anywhere on Texas Motor Speedway grounds.  Weights should be used to anchor tents or canopies.
Violations
Violators of these rules will be escorted off the grounds and their spaces forfeited.
Neither the Southwest Swap Meet nor the Texas Motor Speedway will be responsible for damages, injuries or accidents during the Swap Meet.  Southwest Swap Meet and/or Texas Motor Speedway Officials reserve the right to reject and/or eject any person or firm they deem undesirable for any reason. The decisions of these Officials are final.

  • Please read the following rules which apply to the Car Corral
  • Acceptance of a space constitutes your agreement to abide by our rules.
  • The Car Corral is for running, operational vehicles only. (No motor homes, RV’s, parts, buses or miscellaneous items.
  • Pop-up canopies during daylight hours only, must be removed at night.
  • The Car Corral windshield stickers must be filled out and displayed on the driver side of windshield on the car driven into the Car Corral area.
  • There will be a windshield sticker for each car for sale. Stickers may not be transferred to another vehicle.
  • Vehicles may enter the Car Corral between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday from 7 am to 3 pm. Thursday vehicles may enter from Noon to 6 pm.
  • Vehicles must be removed by 3pm on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.
  • The owner is responsible for vehicle at all times. You may take your vehicle out each night.
  • Vehicles must be driven into the Car Corral. Trailers or car haulers are only permitted in the Vendor/Trailer Parking area.
  • Neither the Southwest Swap Meet nor Texas Motor Speedway will be responsible for damages, injuries or accidents during the event.
  • The Southwest Swap Meet and Texas Motor Speedway Officials reserve the right to reject and/or eject any person/vehicle as undesirable for any reason. The decisions of these Officials are final.

EARLY REGISTRATION FOR 2019

September 13-15, 2019
Early-Registration for 2019 begins at 1 pm on Friday.  To guarantee your same spaces for the 2019 Swap Meet, you must pre-pay before Oct. 31, 2018.  Other spaces may be reserved beginning Nov. 1st.  Visit the Registration office during the swap meet.  After the swap meet call us at (469) 463-6277, or e-mail info@southwestswapmeet.com .  Registration forms are available on this website. If you can’t leave your space to register, call and we will come to you.
APRIL 2019 PATE SWAP MEET
 Registration for the April 2019 PATE Swap Meet will be available in the Registration Office all day Friday, and Saturday morning.
